How IQAir Trade-In works
1. Complete the Trade-In Form
Answer a few questions about your IQAir product and its condition. We’ll confirm whether it qualifies for trade-in before you ship anything.
2. Get an estimated IQAir Credit
Based on the product type, age, and condition, you’ll receive an estimated credit range. This estimate helps set expectations, but final credit is confirmed after inspection.
3. Ship it to IQAir
If your device is eligible, you’ll receive shipping instructions and a label to send it in. You’ll receive tracking information and status updates along the way.
4. Receive your IQAir Credit
Once inspected and approved, your IQAir Credit is issued and ready to use on IQAir.com.

- Devices or systems with missing components or extensive physical damage
- Products outside the eligible age range (more than 7 years old)
Condition Guidelines
To qualify for trade-in, devices must power on and operate safely, with no structural damage that affects performance or safety. Normal cosmetic wear from regular use is acceptable. Devices with extensive physical damage, contamination, or safety risks may be deemed ineligible during inspection.
How Trade-In Value Is Determined
Trade-in value is determined based on the device model, age, and operational condition.
Eligible products earn 15% or 30% of their original retail value as IQAir Credit, depending on age:
- Two years old or newer: 30% IQAir Credit
- Older than two years: 15% IQAir Credit
All trade-in devices are inspected against IQAir’s internal performance and safety standards before any credit is issued. Your estimated credit is not guaranteed until inspection is complete.
If Your Device Isn’t Eligible
If your trade-in does not qualify after inspection, you choose what happens next:
- Return the device to me (shipping terms apply), or
- Recycle it responsibly through IQAir’s recycling program

Trade-In Processing Timeline
After you ship your device using the provided label, it is received and queued for inspection. Inspections are typically completed within 7–14 business days of receipt, and IQAir Credit is issued shortly after approval.

If your device does not qualify after inspection, you may choose to have it returned to you under the applicable shipping terms or recycled responsibly through IQAir’s recycling program.
You will need to send in your trade-in device in original packaging to help ensure it’s protected during the shipping process. If you do not have the original packaging, you can order original packaging from IQAir at a nominal fee. You may ship to IQAir with your shipping carrier of choice or IQAir can provide a shipping label to you at standard shipping rates. You will be billed the cost of the return label.
Yes. If your device does not qualify for trade-in credit, you may choose responsible recycling instead of having the device returned.

Trade-In Program Terms and Conditions

These Trade-In Program Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the IQAir Air Purifier Trade-In Program (the “Program”). The Program allows eligible customers to return qualifying used air purifiers in exchange for credit toward the purchase of new IQAir products.
By submitting a trade-in request or participating in the Program, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms supplement and incorporate by reference IQAir’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, available at:
If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Terms of Use, these Terms will control with respect to the Trade-In Program.
“IQAir” means IQAir North America, Inc., a California corporation, located at 14351 Firestone Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638.
IQAir reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time.
The Program allows eligible customers to trade in certain previously purchased IQAir air purifiers in exchange for a trade-in credit that may be applied toward the purchase of new IQAir products on IQAir’s U.S. website.
Participation in the Program is subject to eligibility requirements, inspection of trade-in items, and compliance with these Terms.
The Program is available only to U.S. residents. To be eligible for the Program, trade-in items must meet all of the following requirements:
Qualified Product Category
The trade-in item must be identified as a qualified air purifier model on the IQAir website trade-in platform.
Serial Number Verification and Product Age
The trade-in item must have a legible serial number, and IQAir must determine, in its sole discretion, that the item was manufactured within the previous seven years.
IQAir may reject any item with:
- a missing or unreadable serial number;
- a serial number that cannot be verified in IQAir’s records; or
- a serial number indicating the item was manufactured more than seven years prior to the trade-in request.
Operational Condition
The trade-in item must:
- power on;
- operate safely; and
- have no structural damage affecting performance or safety.
Cosmetic Condition
Normal cosmetic wear resulting from ordinary use is acceptable.
Ineligible Condition
Trade-in items with extensive physical damage, contamination, or safety risks may be deemed ineligible during inspection.
To initiate a trade-in request, the customer must submit the required information through the IQAir website trade-in platform.
Customers must provide information such as model, serial number, and photographs accurately representing the item’s condition.
IQAir may request additional documentation, information, or images before approving a trade-in.
Providing inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete information may result in rejection of the trade-in.
If an item is preliminarily approved for trade-in:
- IQAir will provide a prepaid shipping label.
- The customer must ship the item using either:
- the original manufacturer packaging, or
- replacement packaging provided by IQAir.
Customers must package items securely and follow all shipping instructions provided by IQAir.
Risk of loss and title to the item remain with the customer until the item is received by IQAir.
Customers are responsible for properly packaging the item and ensuring it is shipped in accordance with the instructions provided.
IQAir is not responsible for items that are:
- lost in transit
- delayed by carriers
- damaged due to improper packaging by the customer.
All trade-in items submitted through the Program are subject to inspection by IQAir upon receipt. During inspection, IQAir will verify:
- product identity
- serial number and manufacturing date based on IQAir’s internal records
- operational condition
- structural integrity and safety
- compliance with Program eligibility requirements.
If the item meets all requirements, IQAir will issue the applicable trade-in credit. IQAir has sole discretion in determining final eligibility and acceptance.
If a trade-in item that was properly packaged in accordance with IQAir’s instructions arrives damaged during transit, IQAir may:
- repair the item as necessary; and
- issue the applicable trade-in credit.
IQAir may deny trade-in credit if damage results from failure to follow packaging instructions.
If IQAir determines after inspection that the item is not eligible for trade-in, the customer will be notified. The customer may choose one of the following options:
Return to Customer
The item may be returned to the customer at the customer’s expense.
Donation or Disposal
The customer may authorize IQAir to donate or dispose of the item.
If the customer does not respond within a reasonable period after notification, IQAir may dispose of the item in accordance with applicable law.
Trade-in credit will be issued in the form of a voucher code sent via email, or in such other form as may be specified by IQAir at the time of approval.
Trade-in credits:
- expire twelve months after issuance
- have no cash value
- are non-transferable
- are single-use
- may only be used toward qualifying purchases from IQAir’s U.S. website.
Trade-in credits may not be combined or stacked with coupons, promotional codes, discounts, or other promotional offers, unless explicitly permitted by IQAir.
Credits may not be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
By participating in the Program, the customer represents and warrants that:
- the customer is the lawful owner of the trade-in item;
- the trade-in is not stolen or subject to any liens;
- all information submitted is accurate and complete; and
- the trade-in is safe to ship and does not contain hazardous contamination.
Upon IQAir’s final acceptance of the trade-in item, ownership transfers to IQAir. After acceptance, the trade-in will not be returned to the customer. IQAir may refurbish, recycle, donate, dispose of, or otherwise use the trade-in at its discretion.
The Program may utilize third-party platforms, applications, logistics providers, or service providers to facilitate trade-in processing, verification, shipping, and credit issuance.
IQAir is not responsible for errors, outages, delays, or failures caused by third-party systems or services used in connection with the Program.
IQAir reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit participation in the Program if it believes in its sole discretion:
- the Program is being abused;
- inaccurate or fraudulent information has been provided;
- serial numbers or product information are invalid; or
- participation violates applicable law or these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IQAir will not be liable for:
- shipping carrier delays or losses
- damage resulting from improper packaging
- rejection of trade-in items that fail to meet eligibility requirements
- interruptions or failures of third-party platforms supporting the Program.
IQAir’s total liability relating to the Program will not exceed the value of the applicable trade-in credit.
IQAir may modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time. Any changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
