Klaus and Manfred Hammes
The home air purifier designed by brothers Klaus and Manfred Hammes is launched.
1981
Headquarters in Switzerland

Frank Hammes joins IQAir
Klaus' son Frank Hammes joins the company in 1989 and develops the first car air purification filter. The HealthPro, a revolutionary compact, freestanding indoor air purifier, is introduced in 1998.
2003
SARS Crisis
IQAir products are selected by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority as a new tool for combating the SARS virus.
2008
Beijing Olympics
IQAir provides air purification to the US Olympic Committee to give US athletes an edge during the Beijing Olympic Games.
2010
US Schools
IQAir is selected by a US government agency to help protect over 50'000 children at school with high-performance air filtration.
2014
Chengdu Pandas
Chengdu Research Base of Giant Pandas uses HealthPro air purifiers to help protect the health and development of newborn panda babies.
2017
Atem personal air purifiers
The first Atem personal air purifier with a HEPA filter that achieves EN1822 H13 rating is launched.
2021
California Gas Leak
IQAir helps to protect over 10'000 residents from chemicals and odours from the largest natural gas leak in history.
