As of September 12, 2025, the Rattlesnake Fire is burning on the Colville Reservation in Ferry and Lincoln Counties in Washington State. The fire is located near Ninemile Hellgate Road and George Creek, north of Lincoln, along the Columbia River and is burning on the Colville Reservation (1). It has burned 21,827 acres (2).
The difficult terrain and proximity to the river and surrounding forests, including areas near Carson Mountain, pose challenges for firefighters working to contain the fire.
A second smaller fire on the Colville Mountain, the Lynx Mountain Fire, is burning north of North Twin Lake. It has burned 5,871 acres (3).
