IQAir's HyperHEPA filtration is proven and certified to filter at least 99.5% of all particles down to 0.003 microns - which is 100 times smaller than the 0.3 micron particles that HEPA filters can remove.
HyperHEPA filters remove airborne contaminants by trapping them on filter media, so they can’t be released back into the air. Other technologies, such as ozone, ionization, and UV light can actually add harmful pollutants into the air.
IQAir’s HyperHEPA technology filters biological contaminants, bacteria, and viruses, including SARS-CoV-2. IQAir was used by the Hong Kong Hospital Authority to help staff and patients during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.
