IQAir North America announced that it has filed a motion to strike
Sharper Image Corporation's [SHRP] libel and unfair competition
lawsuit. IQAir filed its motion in the Los Angeles Superior Court
under California's Anti-SLAPP [Strategic Lawsuits Against Public
Participation] statute which allows a defendant served with a
complaint arising out of constitutionally protected free speech to
move for dismissal of the lawsuit at the outset. The motion
describes the lawsuit as "the prototypical SLAPP action - a
meritless lawsuit brought by a large, publicly held corporation

IQAir Selected to Provide Hong Kong Hospitals With New Tool for
Fight against SARS
October 2003
Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HKHA) has selected IQAir's advanced
air filtration systems as a new tool for combating the SARS virus.
According tothe World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers
for Disease Control (CDC) the most effective strategy in
preventing another major SARS outbreak will be finding ways to

Consumer Reports Magazine may be doing consumers more harm than
good, according to a recent IQAir FTC complaint filed against the
publisher. IQAir North America announced today that it has filed a
complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) against Consumer
Reports Magazine and its parent company, Consumer Union, charging
that the consumer watchdog organization actually harms consumers
and businesses with inadequate investigative techniques and a
biased selection process that ignores quality manufacturers in
