Harvard Study Links Air Pollution and Cognitive Function
A group of researchers, led by a doctoral candidate at Harvard University, have identified a link between black carbon in traffic emissions and cognitive functioning in older males. The study examined 680 men with an average age of 71 and found exposure to black carbon particulate matter in the air had a negative impact on cognitive functioning equal to about 2 years.
