320-degree exhaustMost air cleaners return filtered air into the environment through a small, noisy outlet that even makes it difficult to communicate. The IQAir GC Series was designed with a 320-degree EvenFlow Diffuser to supply more air in more directions without drafts or noise. Other systems create annoying air drafts and restrict the ability of a system to produce fresh, clean air that can fill the room. The IQAir GC Series EvenFlow Diffuser boosts system efficiency by evenly returning cleaned air through a large 320-degree outlet. The wide dispersion pattern allows the GC Series to produce an elevated air delivery rate with very little noise.

IQAir GC Series air purifiers are designed to clean the full spectrum of airborne pollutants with the very best filtration technology available at each stage of filtration. Air is drawn into the GC Series air purifier through the bottom of the system by a powerful New Edition IQAir fan. Then the air pulled into the system is sequentially cleaned in a step-by-step process that delivers clean, healthy air. IQAir's unique no-leakage design prevents air from escaping back into the room without being drawn first through the GC Series filters. The multiple filtration stages include:

  • Micro- and nano-particle filtration: The first stage of filtration features a powerful H11 HyperHEPA® pre-filter that eliminates micro- and nano-particles such as allergens, smoke, bacteria and viruses.
  • Cartridge-based activated carbon adsorption (Except ChemiSorber model): Eliminates volatile organic compounds (VOCs) which are responsible for odors.
  • Cartridge-based chemisorption (MultiGas and ChemiSorber models): Destroys harmful chemicals, such as formaldehyde, by an oxidation process inside chemically active alumina pellets.
  • Electrostatically charged fibers: Post-filter sleeves eliminate activated carbon and chemisorption abrasion particles through a charged fiber structure.

Easy filter replacement 

All GC Series air purifiers feature IQAir’s revolutionary modular tower design that snaps open to allow access to all of the system filters in a matter of seconds. By simply releasing the locking arms and sliding the filters out of the frame, almost anyone in the office can replace any of the GC Series filters in moments without special tools or complicated processes. Color-coded lights on the control panel also make it easy to know when each of the filters needs replacing.

Energy efficientEven though IQAir GC Series air purifiers are very powerful, they cost very little to operate. They require no more power than a conventional light bulb. At the heart of these air purifiers is the ultra-efficient, centrifugal, high performance IQAir New Edition fan and its maintenance-free motor. This mechanical powerhouse delivers up to 780 cubic feet (Without filters) of air per minute while requiring as little as 27 watts of power at the lowest speed and up to a maximum of 215 watts at the highest speed. As a result, it costs only pennies per day to run the most advanced all-around air purifier in the world.

ULTRAFINE PARTICLES (Particles 0.003μ - 0.1μ) | 90% of all airborne particles

Ultrafine particles are airborne particles less than 0.1 microns in diameter. In sheer number, they represent more than 90% of all airborne pollutants. Ultrafine particles are inhaled and deposited directly into the lungs, where they penetrate tissue and can be absorbed directly into the bloodstream. Through the bloodstream, they can reach any organ or area of the human body.

FINE PARTICLES (PM2.5) | Greater than 9% of all airborne particles

Fine particles (also known as PM2.5) are particulate matter that is less than or equal to 2.5 microns in diameter. Fine particles penetrate deeply into the lungs, into areas known as small airways and into the primary air exchange areas of the lungs. Fine particles come from vehicle exhaust, gas and chemical reactions, tobacco smoke, burning candles and other indoor and outdoor sources.

COARSE PARTICLES (PM10) | Less than 1% of all airborne particles

Coarse particles (also known as PM10) are those with a diameter between 2.5 and 10 microns in diameter. Coarse particles are deposited almost exclusively in the nose and throat. They are not generally inhalable directly into the lungs. Examples of PM10 include coal dust, fly ash, some components of wood smoke, asbestos fibers, and roadside particles from tires and brakes. This category also includes dust, some pollen and mold spores.
